66 year young outdoorsman recently retired from the University of Florida in October of 2010.  Gardening, hiking, camping, canoeing, photography, painting and drawing, birdwatching, and star gazing are among my favorite activities.  My sister, Mary, writes for this publication and I am honored to be here.
