City, County Offices Closed on New Year's Day
City, county and federal employees are off on Jan. 1.
The cities of Woodstock, Canton, Holly Springs, Waleska, Ball Ground and Cherokee County administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, for the New Year's holiday. Additionally, the city of Waleska's offices will be closed on Monday. All operations required for the comfort and safety of citizens will remain open. The Cherokee County Tax Commissioners' offices will also be closed on Tuesday for the holiday. The Cherokee Area Transportation System buses will also not run on New Year's Day. Sequoyah Regional Library System branches will close at 5 p.m. Monday and will remain closed on Tuesday.
