Two people were injured in a three-car accident that involved a Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services fire truck in Canton on Thursday afternoon, authorities say. According to a Cherokee Sheriff's Office press release, Shayla Croft, 20, of Canton was stopped on westbound Hickory Flat Highway while attempting to turn left on to Newton Fowler Lane at roughly 12:11 p.m. The initial investigation indicates that Ronald Clanton, 36, of Canton was also traveling on westbound Hickory Flat Highway and rear-ended Croft's Honda Accord.
