Habitat for Humanity volunteers were scheduled to frame the second floor walls of three homes in the Villages at Park Creek in Cherokee County for the Chase, Jacinto/Flores and Shattles families, according to Russ Hayes, CEO of Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia, Inc. The construction for the three homes began on June 16, as more than 100 volunteers and Habitat for Humanity supporters gathered, according to the group's June 13 newsletter. The school's Habitat for Humanity club is only two years old.
In its second year of existence, Creekview High School’s Habitat for Humanity Club raised $10,000 to help build a Habitat house for the Phares family in Hickory Flat. More than 100 students took part in fundraising through the Club’s annual Trick-or-Treat donation drive and letter-writing campaign and collected generous donations from Creekview HS faculty. In addition to fundraising, the students also took part in Habitat builds, leadership camps and an awareness campaign.

FishNet Security donates funds, volunteer hours to help a family of four build their Habitat for Humanity home.
FishNet Security's Alpharetta office has partnered with Habitat for Humanity – North Central Georgia to help build a home for the Phares family of North Fulton. FishNet Security donated $3,000 towards the build and sent 15 employees last Friday, April 20 to help with the construction of the home in Park Creek subdivision across the county line from Milton in Cherokee County. The home is due to be completed on May 19. The FishNet Security employees performed the last of the interior work and enjoyed a full day of painting. This is the third year that FishNet Security, formerly Logic Trends, has partnered with Habitat to help build a home for a deserving family. Frank Romeo, vice president of the UPS Foundation, presented Russ Hayes, CEO of Habitat for Humanity–North Central Georgia, with an $80,000 check to help build a Habitat home. The UPS/Habitat home will be located in the Villages of Park Creek neighborhood, located on the border of North Fulton and Cherokee County. Construction will start in June and UPS employees will provide all of the volunteer labor to build the home. UPS has been a longtime supporter of Habitat North Central Georgia and has been responsible to providing affordable housing to many local families. Two more families have homes through the efforts of Habitat for Humanity–North Central Georgia at The Villages of Park Creek in Cherokee County. More than 70 staff members, volunteers and community members helped the families dedicate their homes on June 11. The first home was built for the LaRocque family–mother, Christine and her four children ages16, 16, 9 and 7. Christine and her children worked side by side with Habitat staff, sponsors and volunteers to help build their home. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and the Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity sponsored the home.
