Donald Judson Moran has been charged with aggravated assault and burglary after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and stabbed a man multiple times.
A Canton man has been arrested and charged after allegedly stabbing a man several times late Sunday night. Cherokee Sheriff's deputies arrested Donald Judson Moran, 24, of Canton and have charged him with aggravated assault and burglary after an altercation at a home in the Woodmont subdivision, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were called out to a home on Lyndhurst Circle around 1:30 a.m. Monday where 24-year-old Graham Royal of Alpharetta said Moran broke into the home and stabbed him multiple times in the face and back, the law enforcement agency said in a press release. Several girls from the National Gymnastics Center in Holly Springs competed for and won national titles in North Carolina.
Patch first brought you the National Gymnastics Center when several teens and preteens brought home awards from state titles in April. This summer, eight girls from the center competed in the AAU Regional tournament in Charlotte, NC, June 19, and brought home 15 top-five finishes, including two regional championships. Shortly after, four girls traveled to Orlando in early July for the the AAU National tournament, winning 10 national titles in the advanced and intermediate-optionals division. The biannual sex offender verification leads to arrests for violations of probation.
The biannual sex offender verification in Cherokee left 34 offenders unaccounted for. Those offenders will be verified within the next two weeks, said Lt. Jay Baker with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office. Seven people were arrested on counts of probation violation and violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act, Baker said. To see where registered sex offenders are in your area, check out this website. According to the National Sex Offender Registry, there are about 16 in the Holly Springs and Hickory Flat area.
