Berry College Names Cherokee Students to Dean's List

The Rome college released its fall list of students.

The following local students have been named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at Berry College: To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better. Berry College is an independent, coeducational college recognized nationally for the quality and value of its educational experience. Located on a magnificent campus encompassing more than 26,000 acres near Rome., Berry challenges its student body, consisting of more than 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students, to embrace a firsthand education that unites strong academic programs with opportunities for meaningful work experience, spiritual and moral growth, and significant service to others.  

Cherokee Students Named to Piedmont College Dean's List

Travis Thomas earns Dean's Scholar honors.

The following students have been awarded academic honors for the recently completed fall semester at Piedmont College. Students named as Dean's Scholars for the semester have earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average, and students named to the Dean's List have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.99. Piedmont College is an independent liberal arts college of about 2,600 students with campuses located in Demorest and Athens, Ga. Founded in 1897, the college offers undergraduate degrees in 44 major areas and graduate degrees in education and business, including doctoral degrees in education.

Local Student Named to Unversity of Evansville's Dean's List

Zuzana Kocsisova is a biology major at the university in Indiana.

Zuzana Kocsisova of Woodstock has achieved a place on the University of Evansville Dean's List for academic achievements during the Fall Semester 2012. Kocsisova is majoring in Biology. To make the Dean's List, a student at UE must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. "At the University of Evansville, motivated students such as Zuzana Kocsisova experience a challenging and collaborative learning environment and thrive under the guidance of talented faculty," said UE President Thomas A. Kazee. "Earning a place on the Dean's List shows a strong commitment to academic success, and students and their families should be very proud of this accomplishment."
