UPDATE: Hiram Hires Former Holly Springs Official

Robbie Rokovitz became city manager in the Paulding County community after the City Council approved his contract.

Update, 9:30 a.m. Wednesday: Hiram's City Council approved the contract to make Robbie Rokovitz their new city manager. Earlier story: A former city official for Holly Springs and Alpharetta might be the next Hiram city mananger. Hiram could soon end the months-long process of obtaining a city manager if City Council approves a contract tonight. The city council is holding a 5:30 p.m. called meeting with an agenda that includes a vote on a contract to hire Robbie Rokovitz as city manager. Rokovitz, who is currently Cedartown’s city manager, was tapped for the job last month pending a successful execution of a contract between him and the city; he had been one of six candidates named as a finalist for the job. Sunday Alcohol Sales to Begin Jan. 1

The Holly Springs City Council voted to approve the ordinance at Monday night's meeting.

In a 5-0 vote, the Holly Springs City Council approved Sunday alcohol sales to start on Jan. 1, the first Sunday after Monday night's meeting that does not fall on Christmas. They also approved the consolidation of the new city manager contract. The council denied a contract renewal with the Employee Assistance Program for $1,200 with One Source Counseling.
