More people leave Cherokee for work than any other county in metro Atlanta. Do you want to work closer to home? Canton's Brenwood Academy is looking for a social media specialist. This is a part-time, contract based paid internship, which could be ideal for college students or recent grads. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of creating and building a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, or any other social media platform. One Couple, Two Failed Schools, Can the Third Survive?

The Crenshaws have played a roll in two failed private schools. Now they're operating Brenwood Academy.

American Heritage Academy and The Kid Connection both closed this year, and the founders are staying tight-lipped about, well, everything. Calls to the owners are going unanswered. The Kid Connection, American Heritage Academy and Brenwood Academy were founded by the same couple: Bob and Bettina Crenshaw. The Crenshaws opened The Kid Connection in Holly Springs in 1998, according to a Holly Springs occupational tax permit. In 1999, Bob Crenshaw opened American Heritage Academy with another partner. In February 2007, a former American Heritage Academy investor filed a lawsuit against Crenshaw and his partner for more than $3 million over the “mismanagement of school funds,” according to the Cherokee Ledger-News.
