Whether you've thought about it for years or a recent problem has shaken your life, there's still a chance to change. With the season for resolutions upon us, will you decide this is the year to change? Will you find a support group, get the help your family needs or break a bad habit? There are several support groups in the area for those dealing with mental illness. The first, the National Alliance for Mental Illness Family Support Group meets twice a month at Hillside United Methodist Church in Woodstock. Co-facilitator Patrick Bishop, said he has a child with schizophrenia and the support group talks about "living conditions, different medications and dealing with doctors."
