Our 18 month old son has been going here for about 6 weeks now and I can not even describe how happy our family is with this program. I appreciate the patience, consideration, and professionalism that each and every staff and faculty member exhibits. My son has already developed/strengthened necessary life skills and an added curiosity and excitement for learning. He squeals when we pull up to school and squeals even louder when he sees his teachers and classmates. That to me says it all.

I heard wonderful things about Montessori but knew very little about it. I met Mrs. Elaine (aka Tia Elaine) and after speaking with her and learning more about the Montessori environment I knew I had found the perfect school for my son. My son has learned so much in the short time he's been here. He expresses himself more clearly, he's more independent, he makes connections between ideas and most impressive is that he's learning a second language at 2 years old! Thank you Mrs. Doris! The entire staff at AMA genuinely care about the children. The most important thing to any parent is to have peace of mind that your child is in a safe, loving, nurturing environment. Avery Montessori Academy is that place! ~ S.A.
My 4 year old attended Avery Montessori Academy since its opening day and was there for 4 months. The primary reason for finally withdrawing our son was due to the lack of professionalism and common sense judgment exhibited by the owner, Elaine. During the first month, our son’s teacher quit due to a disagreement in teaching methods with Elaine. The 2nd teacher is also now resigning at the end of the month. While we were there, Elaine violated an agreement regarding publishing photos of our child. She also shared with us info of other families’ situations such as kids whose parents were going through a divorce, kids whose parents were unable to make tuition payments, and an autistic child who did not thrive in the environment. She even commented to us regarding one of her employee’s “many health issues” and another's "weird religious beliefs". There were delayed communications such as days to respond to emails, and a morning voice mail I left due to no answer was not even retrieved in the same day. In addition, there are many simple inconveniences, such as no computerized entry or sign-in system. The door is locked when you arrive, and the doorbell consistently does not work, even causing the business to miss a payroll. Overall, just a sloppy, unprofessional operation. This academy is amazing. We had a bad experience with a prior daycare where our son was not thriving and visibly very upset to be left there every day. We decided to pull him out and look for a better place, believing that there had to be a school where our son would grow to love learning and socializing with other kids. We spent time carefully looking over our options before choosing Avery and there is not a minute that I regret that decision.
This school is absolutely fantastic and now my son loves to go to school. There was a prior negative post, and to be fair, I should note that there are a few issues given that they are a brand new school - they don't have a keyless entry system and they are still ironing out some of the administrative processes. BUT they do not in any way short change the care and attention given to the children, and our son at 24 months knows the entire alphabet, can count to 10, knows all of his colors and shapes and also speaks in Spanish (albiet not fluently yet). I have complete faith in our son's teacher to guide him and treat him as I would if I were there. He gets all organic food, snacks and milk, and the cost is still reasonable for the area.
Before deciding to place your kids elsewhere, stop by and look at this school. I for one am very thankful we found Avery Montessori.
