Libertarian Party Meeting, Healthy Halls Back to School Fair in Cherokee This Week

Here are some of the most exciting events happening in Cherokee County this upcoming week.

1. The Cherokee County Libertarian Party will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center in Woodstock. The topic of the meeting is "Restoring the Rule of Law," featuring guest speaker Richard Arena.

2. The Kohl's 2013 Healthy Halls Back to School Fair 
is coming to Woodstock on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 10:30 a.m. The day of outdoor fun activities is a partnership between Kohl's and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Strong4Life Movement. The fair will be held at the Kohl's on Woodstock Square Avenue.

3. River Church on Sixes Road will be holding a farmer's market on 
Tuesday, Aug. 20 starting at 2 p.m. Features of the market include freshly grown local watermelons, Georgia-grown apples, and a scavenger hunt for the kids. Donations for North Georgia Angel House will also be accepted.

4. Ice Martini Bar will present the "Makeup and Martinis" charity event
 on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. The $50 cost of a ticket will go to the favorite charity of the late Talia Joy Castellano. Attendees will learn the latest makeup techniques and be given a makeup bag.

5. Congregation Ner Tamid will hold a Shabbat Service and dinner in Canton 
on Friday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. The service and dinner will be held at Stratus Kitchen on Laurel Canyon Parkway. Please RSVP with Marci Zied at 770-345-8687.
