Region 7-AAAA Quarterfinals Begin Tuesday
Creekview and Sequoyah had first-round byes, but are in action on Tuesday.
The Region 7-AAAA Basketball Tournament will continue play on Tuesday at after early-round action on Saturday pushed three teams through to the quarterfinal round.
(12-13, 9-5), the No. 5 seed, will face Northwest Whitfield (18-7, 10-4), the No. 4 seed, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lady Chiefs beat Northwest Whitfield by three points on Jan. 7, but lost on Jan. 28 by six points. The winner will move onto the semifinal round to face the eventual winner of the Chattahoochee β South Forsyth game at 8:30 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m. Creekview (19-6, 11-4), the No. 3 seed, will face Rome (18-8, 10-5), the No. 6 seed. Rome beat Woodland on Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals, while Creekview had a bye.

In the only meeting between these teams this season, Creekview beat Rome by 14 points. The winner will advance to play the winner of the Forsyth Central β Lambert game at 7 p.m.
The semifinal round will begin on Friday with games at 4 p.m. and 7:30.

The 7-AAAA championship will be decided on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Creekview High School will host the entire tournament.
