Northside Hospital-Cherokee is a 'Top Performer'

The hospital was named Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® by The Joint Commission.

Northside Hospital and its two suburban facilities have been lauded for its performance.

The Joint Commission designated Northside Hospital in Atlanta,Northside Hospital-Cherokee and Northside Hospital-Forsyth each as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures®.

The commission is the agency that accredits health care organizations in America.  

The three hospitals were recognized for "exemplary performance in using evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care," according to a press release from Northside. 

"Our employees and physicians are committed to offering the safest quality care and positive patient outcomes," said Bob Quattrocchi, president and CEO, Northside Hospital, Inc. "On the heels of other recognitions for quality that Northside has recently achieved, this distinction from The Joint Commission is further proof of their hard work."

The commission recently named Northside Hospital-Cherokee as aprimary stroke care center

TJC recognizes accredited hospitals that attain and sustain excellence in accountability measure performance. 

The Northside hospitals were among 1,099 hospitals in the country that were recognized for their performance in 2012 (the most recent report available), representing the top 33 percent of TJC-accredited hospitals.
