Whiz Kid Shawn Mask

This week's featured student is a fourth-grader at Indian Knoll Elementary school.

This week’s Whiz Kid is Shawn Mask, 9. Grandfather Rick Coker has the info:

“He excels in every sport he plays. Shawn picks up easy on sports. This will be his fifth year in playing football, where he helped his team, the Sequoyah Gold, take the 8-9-year-old championship. He played offensive and defensive tackle. This year he is playing right defensive end on defense and right guard on offense. He plays his heart out. He has played baseball for four years, where he helped his team, the 8-9-year-old Canton Reds, this year to take first place in their age group at Canton Dizzy Dean. He has played basketball for two years for. His goal in life is to play football for the Georgia Bulldogs and then for the Atlanta Falcons and play baseball for Georgia Bulldogs and then for the Atlanta Braves.

"Shawn received the spelling acheivement award last year at. He says he gets all his knowledge from his daddy, Wesley Mask.

"He has a big heart. His grandmother has retired out on disability. Instead of going out and playing, he helps his grandmother out with her duties. He always has a big smile and hug for anyone. He attends the Canton Church of Christ. He goes around hugging the elderly women at church. He also attends and participates with church activities."
