Student Raise Money for Ferst

Macedonia students stay busy. This week they raised money for the Cherokee Ferst Foundation.

students, faculty and staff joined for the first Jumpstart Read for the Record Day to raise money for the Cherokee County Ferst Foundation.

The Ferst Foundation sends books to local children who can't afford them, according to a press release.

The school raised $645 by inviting students, faculty, and staff to donate $1 to the Foundation to wear their pajamas to school.  Principal Tammy Castleberry also went to each kindergarten classroom to read the book Llama Llama Red Pajama, the official book of this year’s campaign.
