Sequoyah's Tate Headed to Chattahoochee Tech

The star player from the 2011 Sequoyah mens basketball team signed with Chattahoochee Tech on Monday.

After leading the Chiefs to a 29-1 season this year, will be staying local next year after signing with the mens basketball team atΒ  Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta.

Tate, a five-foot-eight point guard, averaged 24 points per game during his senior year and scored more than 1,000 points during his high school career, according to a press release from the college.

In March, and was named named first-team all-state in Class AAAA and Region 7-AAAA Player of the Year.

Chattahoochee Tech plays in the Division I Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
