Sequoyah's Junior ROTC Color Guard to Perform at Falcons Game

Performance will be at opening of Dec. 15 game against Redskins.

Sequoyah High School's Air Force Junior ROTC Color Guard Team will perform the opening ceremonies at an upcoming Atlanta Falcons game.- Washington Redskins football game.

The match between the Falcons and the Washington Redskins is Sunday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m. at the Georgia Dome.

The unit’s drill teams won first-place at the annual Master Sergeant Chuck Gilbert Invitational Drill Meet recently held at Ridgeland High School in Rossville.  

Sequoyah won overall first place in both of the main categories of drill with a total of 17 trophies. Cadets also won numerous top honors at the Cadet Officer Leadership School held this summer at the Citadel.  

Lt. Col. Chuck Slater and Chief Master Sgt. John Futral lead the AFJROTC program at Sequoyah.
