Sequoyah Offers "SAT Lunch" Prep Courses

The Holly Springs high school is offering juniors and seniors the opportunity to shore up their test-taking skills in advance of the SAT.

Although Sequoyah High School, along with the rest of the Cherokee County School District, is on spring break starting Monday, that doesn't mean it's time to start winding down the 2012-13 school year.

Starting April 15, the high school will continue its "SAT Lunch" prep courses, designed for juniors and seniors who will be taking the crucial test this spring. The school is hopeful that more juniors will take advantage of the prep course, because they are the ones most likely to take the SAT in the coming months.

During the weeks of April 15 and April 22, math and writing tutors will be available during lunch periods to assist students in areas they may be struggling in. Students will also be able to take SAT practice tests to get the feel of what the real test will hold for them.
