Sequoyah Gets Bright Ideas Grant

One Sequoyah class will be getting Kindle e-readers to help with their studies.

Elaine Dasher, an AP English teacher at was awarded almost $1,500 in grant money from the Sawnee Electric Membership Foundation.

The money will go to buy Amazon Kindle e-readers for Dasher's AP English Literature and Composition class. Students will have access to free literary classics from Amazon’s free eBook collections.Β
