Sequoyah, Creekview Grads Gain Scholarship to UGA
Two students from Hickory Flat were awarded the Charter scholarship to the University of Georgia.
Hayley Glassic from and Haley Huskins from l will both get a $1,000 scholarship to UGA this year as part of the Charter scholarship.
This scholarship is funded by the University of Georgia foundation to honor the school as the first state-chartered public university, according to a UGA press release.
Glassic and Huskins are recognized for their academic records, leadership, community involvement and cultural diversity.

They are in the top eight percent of the incoming freshmen class, according to the release.
