Scouts, Sports, Arts for Fall 2011

It's never too soon to start thinking about those college applications and scholarships. Every little activity counts.

The restful summer is over and the extra-curriculars are back in session. If your child didn’t make a team or the expenses facing school-affiliated activities are too high, here’s a few options to get them active and engaged over the school year. 

Fall Ball

Two groups are open for fall ball. The Sequoyah Junior Chiefs still have one more round of tryouts on July 30 at Tommy Mann Field.  See the tryout lineup to know when show up, but note that all participants must preregister online first.

East Cherokee Baseball will be open for registration on July 30, August 6, and August 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the concession stand at. East Cherokee baseball is open to ages 5 to 15 and prices go start at $90 and increase to $225 for three players. 

Arts

is hosting registration sessions today and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon, July 28 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and July 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Play! Music and Arts host beginning in August.

Scouts

of Holly Springs and Hickory Flat are hosting a get together for girls on August 16 at at 6:30 p.m. in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Boy Scouts are always recruiting. Each pack decided either to run on a full-year basis or exclusively during the school year. Scouts are open to boys ages 7 or older. To find a pack near you, visit their website and fill out a registration form.
