NFL Player Will Come to Indian Knoll ES

The special appearance by a professional football player comes in the wake of the school's successful NFL Play 60 Challenge entry.

Thanks to voters from Holly Springs and communities far and wide, a player from the NFL will soon be coming to Indian Knoll Elementary School's PE classes.

The school was recently named a national finalist in the Fuel Up to Play 60 Scavenger Hunt Challenge, a contest designed to get young people thinking creatively on how to live a healthier lifestyle.

The Cherokee County School District provided the following information on the school's entry:

For the challenge, schools needed to film five physical challenges from a set list that included activities such as a student vs. teacher push-up contest.  Indian Knoll’s Challenge is titled “Phoebe’s Mission: Fire Up the Firebirds.”

Voting to determine which schools would receive visits from NFL players was held online and ended last Friday. Holly Springs-Hickory Flat Patch told you about the vote and gave you a link to the ballot box.
