Holly Springs Educator Named 'Master Teacher'

A Holly Springs educator today was named part of a group of 58 teachers in Georgia who have “positively influenced student achievement in the classroom.”

Gov. Nathan Deal has named Angela Rubel with Creekland Elementary School a "Master Teacher."

Teachers earn ‘Master Teacher’ certification based on classroom performance on the Criterion-Referenced Competency Test, documented student growth and exemplary professional practices, according to a statement from the governor’s office.

The designation is good for seven years.
