CCA Hosts First PTC Meeting
Parents of Cherokee Charter Academy students arrived in throngs to discuss school colors and committees.
Parents crowded the cafeteria at Cherokee Charter Academy Monday night for the new school's inaugural Parent Teacher Cooperative meeting. Eager moms and dads had the opportunity to pick from more than a dozen PTC committees to join. The committees include School Spirit, Community Outreach, Special Events, Teacher/Staff Appreciation, Technology, Advocacy and more.
Principal Vanessa Suarez also announced the school's mascot and colors as chosen by the student body. Cherokee Charter Academy will be home of the tigers, the school colors are to be light blue and white.
Several students from were relocated to the county's first charter school this fall.
