celebrated Veterans Day by inviting veteran family members into their school for singing, poetry readings and speeches. John Lummus, former principal of Macedonia and retired officer in the U.S. Navy, spoke.  

Macedonia also sponsored a 5K and fun run on Nov. 5 to raise money for  the school.

The Air Force Junior ROTC held its 17th Annual Military Ball on Nov. 12. More than 200 cadets, military guests, instructors and parents gathered in the school’s cafeteria for what participants described as one of the best military balls in the unit’s history.

Cherokee Charter Academy kicked off their STRIVE campaign  as part of their character education curriculum.

STRIVE is an acronym for Student Taking Responsibility for Important Values of Excellence and included a discussion of 65 special character traits.
