All federal, state and local government offices as well as banks will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of Labor Day.
The offices for the cities of Woodstock, Canton, Holly Springs, Waleska, Ball Ground and the Cherokee County government will be closed for the holiday.
Canton and Woodstock residents who utilize Waste Management for residential waste disposal services should know the company will not pick up trash on Monday. Services will resume on Tuesday and will run one day behind through the rest of the week.
Additionally, the Holly Springs City Council has rescheduled its work session for Thursday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m.
The Cherokee Area Transportation System buses will also not run on Monday.
United States Post Offices will also be closed on Monday and mail will not be delivered.
Cherokee County's two recycling centers will also be closed on Monday, which is part of their normal schedule.
City and county offices, schools, banks and all post offices will resume regular operating hours on Tuesday and regular mail delivery will resume on that day.
