7:51 p.m. The Easter Egg Hunt has been moved to April 23.

7:49 p.m. seeks a special alcohol permit to have canned music from noon to 6 p.m. on a Saturday in May with 300 to 500 in attendance.

7:45 p.m. Staff is going to continue to see cases that really walk a fine line between the city's long-term goals and what the economy can bear, Day says.

7:44 p.m. Autos would have to be behind a certain line, and landscaping would have to remain on that property, Day says.

7:43 p.m. Motes is not planning on paving any of the property but plans on doing title pawn/title loans. Day recommends the council not allow that.

7:41 p.m. One weakness of the commercial conversion sites is that they are what they are, Day says. The lot would be on residential property.

7:40 p.m. Day says Motes would be required to keep the cars a specific distance apart and would face several other restrictions to keep the property appealing.

7:39 p.m. The used-auto lot would be at 2883 Holly Springs Pkwy., Day says.

7:39 p.m. Elliot Motes, a current Holly Springs business owner, made an application to sell used cars, Day says.

7:38 p.m. Day is presenting on possible used-auto sales in Holly Springs. (Elliott Motes is seeking a conditional use permit to open a used-car lot at 2883 Holly Springs Pkwy.)

7:37 p.m. Day is now discussing bottle clubs in Holly Springs. It's currently not an issue but could be flying under the radar, Day says.

7:35 p.m. Day and Phillips are now discussing moving the personnel matter to a security matter to ensure safety for teens.

7:33 p.m. Phillips: Maybe the owners think that one or two 20-year-old guys would qualify for "adequate personnel."

7:32 p.m. Dee Phillips expresses concerns over the lessening of restrictions for teen clubs, particularly the number of personnel required.

7:29 p.m. The Holly Springs Police Department OK'd private security for teen clubs. is grandfathered in to this code, Day says.

7:28 p.m. "Adequate lighting to provide for emergency exits" is now required for teen clubs, Day says.

7:27 p.m. The "one person per 25" clause is now defined as "an adequate number of personnel" in conjunction with the fire safety capacity, Day says.

7:23 p.m. Brantley Day is discussing the new ordinance for teen clubs.

7:21 p.m. There's only so much opportunity to provide a grid system without destroying neighborhoods, Lusher says.

7:17 p.m. An additional connection to P. Rickman would allow Jackson Street access to be closed, Lusher says. (You can find Lusher's involvement in municipal planning efforts in Alpharetta, Gainesville and Suwanee in recent years.)

7:16 p.m. Next steps: Estimate project costs and funding, document project activities, additional access to P. Rickman, Lusher says.

7:14 p.m. Industrial connector: Provide an additional railroad crossing to bypass the crossing on Hickory Street, Lusher says.

7:13 p.m. Future needs: Grid system to support Town Center, multimodal improvement, widening of Hickory Street and Holly Springs Parkway, industrial connector.

7:12 p.m. Plans are to make the Town Center easily accessible by walking and biking, Lusher says.

7:12 p.m. Existing needs: Minimize congestion on Palm Street at Hickory Street, reduce conflict near the Hickory Street railroad crossing, and improve the route to P. Rickman Industrial Drive.

7:11 p.m. Lusher's plan identified existing needs, collected data by setting up cameras and counting cameras, and identified likely future needs.

7:08 p.m. Lusher's plan involved traffic study and assessment to reduce traffic congestion.

7:05 p.m. Holly Springs Mayor Tim Downing is absent from tonight's meeting. (That seems to leave a couple of holes in the new-business agenda; we'll see who fills them.)
