Human Trafficking, Abortion, Sex Offenders on Crossover Day

The House voted on 36 bills on Monday in a hurry to get things through the legislative agenda.

Wednesday is the final chance for legislation in the House of Representatives to "crossover" to the Senate for a vote before the legislative session ends.

In a release, Sean Jerguson, (R-Holly Springs), said the House voted on 36 bills on Monday. Tough issues remain, though.

The House voted in favor of HB 954 that would ban abortion in Georgia after a pregnancy reaches 20 weeks in an attempt to "protect the unborn at a stage of development where medical evidence indicates a fetus might be capable of feeling pain," according to a release. The bill also eliminates the language that provides an exception for the mental and physical health of the mother.
