What Do Holly Springs Residents Want in Hickory Road Park?

The first public meeting on how the city should spend $1.5 million Cherokee County's parks and recreation agency gave to plan and build the park will be Monday afternoon.

Holly Springs has picked a design firm for the construction of a new park on Hickory Road, but the public needs to let the city know what amenities they want at the park.

The topography of the site and a perennial stream that bisects the park property will put limits on some types of construction, the city said on its website.

The city has received $1.5 million in county recreation bond funds from the Cherokee County Recreation & Parks Agency to design and build the Hickory Road park near Harmony on the Lakes.
