Holly Springs Council To Hold Budget Hearing

The calendar year 2013 budget will go into effect in January.

The Holly Springs City Council on Monday will hold a public hearing on its proposed 2013 budget.

The public hearing will start at 7 p.m. at Holly Springs Municipal Court, which will be immediately followed by the regular meeting. The council's work session will start before the hearing at 6:30 p.m. 

The budget is set at $10.6 million, up from the current year's budget of roughly $6.2 million.

The council is expected to adopt the budget during the meeting, City Manager Rob Logan said.

The council will also consider approving the Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) Program 2013 street resurfacing list and a resolution to establish the compensation schedule for the various boards, commissions and committees appointed by the mayor and city council.
