Downtown Authority Seeking New Members

Before Holly Springs can get a new downtown, there have to be enough members of the authority to make some crucial decisions.

The Downtown Development Authority is accepting applications forΒ  new members to fill vacancies after several members left and former Chairman Bob Kovacs resigned in early March.

Only four of the six members were at the meeting on Wednesday night, prompting leaders to call for other Holly Springs residents to step up and help make crucial decisions for the future of the downtown Holly Springs area.

The DDA will be working on upcoming projects such as establishing a Holly Springs business meeting to determine which businesses should go in the downtown area and other marketing plans.

They are also considering a Holly Springs farmer's market/flea market event to attract local interest in the area.
