City Manager Will Review Comprehensive Financial Report With Council

The city saw four percent growth in its net position between 2011 and 2012.

The Holly Springs City Council will get an in-depth look at the city's financial health during their regular meeting Monday evening.

City Manager Rob Logan will be presenting the city's first-ever Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) at the meeting, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Holly Springs Municipal Court chambers.

"I thought it would be prudent to go over the report since it has so much more information than a typical audit report," Logan said.

According to the CAFR, the city's net position increased by over four and one-half percent between 2011 and 2012. Expenses increased by just over ten percent.

The city's combined total of all its fund balances on Dec. 31, 2012 was $4,525,307. Almost 44 percent of this money, or $1,988,544, was available for use on that date.

The 2012 CAFR for the City of Holly Springs is attached to this article.
