Two-Vehicle Accident in Holly Springs Sends Two to Hospital

Both victims in stable condition.

A two-vehicle accident with entrapment has sent two people to the hospital. The incident occurred on Holly Spring Parkway, near the Harbor Creek Apartments, shortly before 1 p.m. on Monday.

According to a press release from Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, Cherokee firefighters arrived on scene to find a head-on collision between a red Dodge Ram truck and a Dodge Nitro SUV. The Dodge Nitro was found lying on its side with a 40-year-old female entrapped. She was quickly extricated and taken to Kennestone Hospital with chest pains. A male backseat passenger in the Ram truck was also taken to Kennestone with a possible broken leg. Both patients appeared to be in stable condition.

The northbound lane of Holly Springs Parkway was blocked until the cleanup was complete. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
