Truck Accident Entraps Two in Hickory Flat

Both men, who are in their 20s, were transported in stable condition to North Fulton Hospital for treatment.

A single-vehicle accident in Hickory Flat sent two men to the hospital on Tuesday morning.

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the accident around 9:30 a.m. in front of Big Springs Farms at 2100 Sugar Pike Road. 

When first responders arrived onto the scene, they discovered a commercial truck that apparently left the roadway and hit a tree, according to a Cherokee fire press release.

A 22-year-old male driver and his 27-year-old passenger were both entrapped inside the truck and had to be extricated from the vehicle. 

Both men were transported by ambulance to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell in stable condition for evaluation, said Medcon Operator Dean Hage.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Cherokee Sheriff's Office
