Suspect Arrested in Connection with Church Burglaries

A Canton man has been charged with burglary and vandalism to a place of worship.

Justin Riffle, 18, is being held in the on a $$22,400 bond after being arrested on July 29.

Riffle is charged with burglary and vandalism to a place of worship in connection with three recent church burglaries in north Cherokee County, according to a press release from the

Detectives lifted fingerprints from the burglary of Hillside Community Church and matched them to Riffle through Automated Fingerprint Identification System. He is thought to be working with another suspect and may be involved with the burglaries of two other churches in Ball Ground and Waleska.

Riffle was recently in possession of several guitars which investigators believe he sold to local pawn shops. Anyone with information on these guitars is asked to call detectives atΒ 770-928-0239.
