Registration Open for Holly Springs Police Academy

Applications due Jan. 28.

Holly Springs' police department is accepting applications for the upcoming Citizen’s Police Academy.

The academy is a series of six sessions that focus on aspects of law enforcement/citizen cooperation and creates an opportunity to peek inside the world of a police officer. Classes take palce every Monday beginning Feb. 3 and ending March 10 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.  

According to a press release from the city, the sessions include an historical perspective of American law enforcement and its current application, the structure and implementation of the Holly Springs Police Department Uniform Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigation Division and presentations by the K9 unit and Bike Patrol Team.

Applicants must be at least 19 years old and will be subject to a background check.
