The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Thursday announced they are seeking the public’s help to find a Powder Springs man who has been missing a week.

David Mazurek, 57, was last seen the night of Sept. 5 walking near the intersection of Highway 92 and Bells Ferry Road in Acworth portion of southwest Cherokee County.

Authorities say Mazurek, who possibly suffers from a diminished mental capacity, was last seen wearing gray pants, a black and gold shirt, leather deck shoes, a coral necklace and a white jacket with red and blue markings.

Anyone who has seen Mazurek or knows where he might be is asked to call the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office at (678) 493-4080.
