are getting creative about raising money.

“I certainly would not put something on the back of a car that is not appropriate, and I do not want a bucket of chicken on the back of a car,” Ball said.

According to the proposal, police car ads are better than other forms of mobile advertising because, “unlike buses and trains, police cruisers operate 24/7 – 365, with prominent visibility in the community,”

The price of the ads begin at $10,000 and increase to the price of a new cruiser depending on how long the ad runs on the car, according to the proposal.

This would be the first police-cruiser advertising plan in the state, but similar projects in other states have been successful, Ball said.
