Man Rescued from Burning Home

Officers from Canton and Holly Springs saved a man who may have passed out from smoke inhalation.

A day after , the  this afternoon heralded the efforts of two more officers.

In a separate incident, Stephen Delman of the Canton Police Department and Shane Smith of the pulled a 31-year-old man from a burning home on Monday.

According to agency spokesman German Rivas, Benjamin Adam Walker was passed out near the front door when Delman and Smith arrived on the scene around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Even though heavy smoke poured out of the residence at 139 Ilex Dr., the men pried open a sliding glass door and saved Walker.

Rivas said the man had a pulse and was taken to an unknown hospital for treatment.
