Loan Services Help Cherokee
A disaster-loan service will set up a clinic for those affected by the tornados and severe weather on Sept. 5.
After the that hit Cherokee County, U.S. Small Business Administration will open a Disaster Loan Outreach at the Building to assist residents and businesses affected.
According to a press release from the Small Business Administration, Home Disaster Loans, Business Physical Disaster Loans, and Economic Injury Disaster Loans are available to those who qualify.
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Nov. 14.

The deadline to return economic injury applications is June 13, 2012.
Homeowners, renters, and businesses can meet with representatives to determine their eligibility for low interest at the following times:

- Sept. 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sept. 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sept. 17 from 8 a.m. to noon
- Sept. 18 Closed
- Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sept. 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sept. 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sept. 22 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Those unable to visit can call the SBA Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or by emailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
Loan applications can be downloaded from the SBA website.
Completed applications can be returned to the Center or mailed to:
