Holly Springs Safe After Storm

Although Nixle failed to alert residents until an hour into the tornado watch last night, there were no injuries and minimal damage in Holly Springs and Hickory Flat.

There were no injuries in Cherokee County due to the weather last night, said Lt. Jamie Gianfala.

There are 2,400 Georgia Power customers without power in Cherokee County, said Konswello Monroe, representative for Georgia Power.

There are also 70 broken polls in metro Atlanta, Monroe said.
