Tide laundry detergent has become the currency of drug dealers because it can be easily stored and traded, according to the Huffington Post.

It has also been reported stolen at grocery stores nationwide.

But why Tide? According to the Huffington Post, it's expensive--up to $20 a bottle--and Tide is the most popular brand. 

If this problem continues, stores will be required to put the laundry detergent behind a glass wall like they do cold medicine.
