Elderly Woman Dead After Crashing into a Vacant Home

A 95-year-old drove into an embankment and then into an empty house early Tuesday morning. Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused her to crash.

Mary Barron, 95, of Acworth is dead after crashing her car into a vacant home this morning.

Around 8:30 a.m., Cherokee Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Bells Ferry Road and Oak Leaf Court in Acworth, said 

Barron was taken to where she was later pronounced dead.

Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit Investigators are looking into the cause of the accident. It is suspected Barron had some type of medical emergency, Baker said.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
