Sequoyah Wrestler Turned Educator Arrested for Sexual Assault

A River Ridge teacher has been arrested and charged with sexual assault while another teacher was arrested for knowing about the incident and not reporting it.

Morrow was a state wrestling champion when he was at Sequoyah High School, according to the AJC. He was the first Cherokee County wrestler to win three titles in 2001.

Another River Ridge teacher, Kristin May, 32, was arrested this afternoon at the school district print shop in Holly Springs and charged with failure to report.

According to the school's website, May was an honors English teacher and Beta Club sponsor. 

Both Morrow and May were Canton residents.

Morrow is in the Cherokee Adult Detention Center on a $11,200 bond. May is being held on a $680 bond.
