Crime on Your Street

This New York City-style police program has cleaned up the streets of Holly Springs. See how your zone fits into the overall crime rate by checking back with Patch each month for an analytic report.

Police Chief Ken Ball said the TRACE Program--Teamwork, Results, Accountability, Communication, Enforcement-- was designed to help residents, police and business owners work together to eliminate crime in a certain area.

Holly Springs is broken into four zones:

Zone 1 includes the far east section of the city from Roxbury Reserve to Bradshaw Estates and as far east as East Cherokee Drive and west to Billings Drive.

Zone 2 includes New Light Road to Old Magnolia Street, Jackson Street, north to Pike Crest and south to Toonigh Road.

Zone 3 includes the south-central portion of the city from the west side of Old Magnolia to Holly Springs Parkway and north to Hickory Road.

Zone 4 is the remaining west portion of the city from Holly Springs Parkway west and from Jackson Street west.

Each zone has a zone commander and will hold regular meetings with citizens to discuss the problems in each area.

Every month, the will release an analytics report on the crime in each zone to Patch. Check back each month to see what's going on in your zone.
