Cherokee Deputies Search For Missing Boy, 16

The 16-year-old may be heading to California.

Cherokee County sheriff's deputies are looking for a 16-year-old boy who may be trying to leave the state.

The agency's Criminal Investigation Division is looking for Benjamin Zimmerman, who is described as being 5'6, weighing 130 pounds and has hazel eyes and brown hair.

Benjamin was last seen around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1. Deputies don't know what the teenager was wearing as his father did not see him leave the house. Benjamin does not have a cell phone and has not been in contact with his father since Saturday.
