6 Violent Crimes in 2010

According to an FBI report, the only violent crimes in Holly Springs in 2010 were six aggravated assaults.

In comparison to similar-sized cities in Georgia, has one of the lowest violent crime rates in the state.

According to the report, there were six violent crimes—all aggravated assaults—in Holly Springs in 2010. There were 91 property crimes and 19 burglaries. There were 69 larceny or theft charges, three motor vehicle thefts and zero arsons.

Violent crimes are classified by the study as one of four acts: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault.

Nationally, the number of violent crimes is down by 6 percent from 2009. 

Holly Springs has a population of 9,708. Other cities that size include Cairo, population 9,607; Cedartown, population 9,900; Doraville, population 9,965; Fort Oglethorpe, population 9,863; and Grovetown, population 9,970.
