Volunteers Needed for Memorial Day 5K

The Holly Springs Volunteer Fire Department is looking for more volunteers to assist with the organization's annual Memorial Day road race.

The 8th Annual 5K Run/Walk & 1K Fun Run, will be held on Saturday, May 25, at Holly Springs Elementary School. Proceeds from the run will benefit the Holly Springs Volunteer Fire Department. Ten percent of the proceeds from the run will go to a charity that assists military veterans.

The course will take runners from Holly Springs Elementary down Hickory Road. Runners will then turn down Sequoyah Circle and continue on Hickory Lane before going back towards Hickory Road via Morgan Road. The race will conclude at Barrett Memorial Park. Sign in and registration for the event will begin at 7 a.m. on May 25, with the 5K run starting at 8 a.m. The fun run will begin immediately following the 5K run events at Barrett Memorial park.
