The Christmas Sellout

I promised myself I wouldn't do this.

For years, I've said that Christmas decorations were for bright colors and shiny lights. Christmas trees should never be done in gold or white, they were supposed to be red and green.

Until this year. I set up my  first "big-girl" tree. I was going to do it very traditional, green and red with lots of tinsel. But then I found some lovely dusty rose ornaments. Then I found an off-white star. Well, my living room is off white and dusty pink so it would look great. Then I thought about how classy white lights, dusty rose and beige ornaments would look.

And I sold out.

In other news, I had a blast handing out free kids meals at last night. One little girl and her two boy cousins reminded me of taking Christmas photos with my boy cousins.

If you're a Marilyn Monroe fan, check out these photos of her and animals. I love Marilyn and like to think that I can channel some of her appeal. I can't, but I like to think I can.

We signed Santa up as a blogger last night. Look for his updates on where he will be and warnings to kids to be good.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
