Pollen Count Reaches 8,000

A four-digit pollen count sets a new record.

Cars in Holly Springs have been painted a warm yellow as the unwelcomed pollen count climbs.

Because of the warmer winter, the pollen count topped 8,000, breaking the record of 6,013 set on April 12, 1999, according to My Fox Atlanta.

The only chance of relief will come when it rains, which isn't predicted until Wednesday at the earliest, according to the National Weather Service.
